Peter Sand, Medical Scribe at Shasta Community Health Center says, "SacValleyHIE has been a great resource for both my clinician and myself in regards to obtaining diagnostic reports and hospital records while a patient is currently in office. There were a few issues with initially learning the filter settings, but otherwise we've had no issues with finding patient medical records at participating medical facilities."

I worked Urgent Care on a Saturday and we had newborns with incomplete records.
An RN called their hospital to obtain the proper records (not patient discharge notes) and they were not able to.
I went onto SacValley HIE and was able to get all the information my provider needed for proper care. The RN was very impressed with the site and the ability to get what we needed so quickly. With these babies we needed the Bilirubin lab results due to jaundice. This was very useful on making sure those babies were ok.
