CMS Interoperability and Patient Access Final Rule

Earlier this week, CMS released their final rule on Interoperability and Patient Access.  One of the conditions of participation is for hospitals to implement ADT (Admit, Discharge, Transfer) messages/notifications to another facility or another community provider or practitioner (https://www.cms.gov/newsroom/fact-sheets/interoperability-and-patient-access-fact-sheet).  Implementing ADT to an HIE, like SacValley MedShare, will satisfy this requirement as well as remove the need

Mountain Communities Healthcare District goes live with ADT

Mountain Communities Healthcare District, "Trinity Hospital" brought their ADT (Admit/Discharge/Transfer) feed live with SacValley MedShare.  The feed also includes information from their two clinics, in Weaverville and Hayfork.  The next phase is Labs and EMS integration.

Fairchild Medical Center Live Contributing Data

Fairchild Medical Center brought their ADT (Admit/Discharge/Transfer) feed live today.  Their ADT messages to SacValley MedShare include Allergies.
