Battalion Chief Andrew Courtright has joined the SacValley MedShare Board of Directors.  Chief Courtright is second in command at the Peninsula Fire Protection District in Lake Almanor, California. 

Chief Courtright moved back to the area after leaving the US Army in 1998.  He has worked as a Firefighter EMT and Paramedic in Plumas and Lassen County for different agencies and also worked as a ground and Flight Paramedic for a number of years.

SacValley MedShare has been awarded $3.5 million to integrate EMS transport agencies and receiving hospitals in 15 of the counties that it serves. This will connect 2 local EMS agencies, Nor-Cal EMS and Sierra-Sacramento Valley EMS and includes connections of 22 ambulance companies to 17 receiving hospitals.  We are looking forward to this exciting new project that will help improve patient care.  Please visit the California EMS Authority's web page for the grant award letter.
