Multiple Data Sources Go Live

SacValley MedShare has brought live multiple new data sources that are contributing data to the exchange.  These sites are also querying for data at the point of care!  Surprise Valley Healthcare District in Cedarville, CA is contributing CCD documents; Dr.

Dexter Truman Joins the SVMS Board

Dexter Truman completed his undergraduate degree at BYU-Idaho and his graduate degree in Health Administration from Penn State University. He has worked with several large, academic medical centers in various capacities. Most recently, Dexter worked at the University of Pittsburg Medical Center (UPMC), Stanford Medicine, and currently is the Northern California Interim Regional Director of Strategy and Business Development for Providence St. Joseph Health.  

New Board Secretary

At the regular meeting of the board of directors held on October 08, 2020, Robert Folden, VP COO Mercy Medical Center Redding and current board member, was officially voted in to the role of Board Secretary for SacValley MedShare.  Congratulations Robert!

Chief Courtright Joins Board of Directors

Battalion Chief Andrew Courtright has joined the SacValley MedShare Board of Directors.  Chief Courtright is second in command at the Peninsula Fire Protection District in Lake Almanor, California. 

Chief Courtright moved back to the area after leaving the US Army in 1998.  He has worked as a Firefighter EMT and Paramedic in Plumas and Lassen County for different agencies and also worked as a ground and Flight Paramedic for a number of years.

RCHC Data Contribution

Redwood Community Health Coalition has gone live with contributing ADT (Admit, Discharge, Transfer) messages to the SacValley MedShare HIE.  Their mission is  to improve access to and the quality of care provided for underserved and uninsured people in Marin, Napa, Sonoma and Yolo counties.  Check out their website!  https://www.rchc.net/
